3ndi
An all-in-one, Arabic-first marketplace — products, classifieds and services in one place — shipped as a Next.js web platform and a native iOS / Android app that share a single API and design system.
Inside the product
A look at what we shipped.
01 The Challenge
Build a marketplace that works for buyers and sellers in Arabic first and on the phone first, without splitting shopping, listings and services into separate apps — and ship web and native together from one backend, so a listing, a cart or a conversation is the same thing on every screen.
02 Our Approach
- Web platform on the Next.js App Router with Prisma, next-auth and next-intl (Arabic / English), and a Radix-based component library with Framer Motion.
- Native app on Expo SDK 57 and expo-router in TypeScript, with React Query and Zustand, talking to the production API over bearer auth — nothing mocked, nothing duplicated.
- One design system for both: tokens for colour, type scale, spacing and radius, light and dark; screens never hard-code a colour or a size.
- Checkout, orders and messaging mirrored between web and app, with pricing rules implemented once and shared.
- A documented API contract for mobile, so the two clients evolve without breaking each other.
03 The Results
- Web platform live at 3ndi.com in Arabic and English.
- Native app built with EAS for App Store and Google Play submission from the same codebase.
- A marketplace a Saudi seller can list on from a phone in Arabic in minutes.
