AI search optimization so the answer names you.

AI search optimization for B2B, SaaS, ecommerce and local service companies whose buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews first. We make your pages easy for those tools to read, quote and cite, then track which answers name you and which name someone else.

Why AI answers name other companies instead of you.

Four reasons AI tools pass over a company that ranks well in ordinary search. Each one is fixable.

  1. 01

Your answer is buried on the page

AI tools lift short passages that answer a question directly. A page that opens with three paragraphs of company history before it reaches the point gives them nothing clean to quote, so they quote someone who answered in the first two sentences.

  2. 02

Nothing on the page is worth citing

If a page rewords what the top ten results already say, an AI tool has no reason to pick it over those ten. Sources get cited when they add something: a number from your own data, a comparison table, a tested process, a named expert.

  3. 03

The rest of the web barely knows you

Language models learn who you are from far more than your website: reviews, directories, comparison articles, forum threads, your LinkedIn page. If those sources are thin, or still carry an old name and service list, the model fills the gap with companies it knows better.

  4. 04

AI crawlers can't read your pages

Some sites block GPTBot, PerplexityBot and other AI crawlers in robots.txt or at the firewall without realizing it. Others load key content with JavaScript that many AI crawlers do not run. Either way, a tool cannot quote a page it cannot fetch.

The deliverable

What an answer-ready page looks like

AI tools quote passages, not whole pages. This is the structure we use for every page we want cited.

6 components, every page

1
2
3
4
5
6
1

Question-style heading

Written the way buyers ask, for example "How long does a website migration take?", so a tool can match it to the prompt.

2

Direct answer in the first 50 words

Two or three plain sentences that answer the question outright. This is the passage most likely to be lifted; detail comes after.

3

Original data table with sources

Figures from your own projects, customers or tests, with dates and method stated. A number nobody else has is a reason to cite you.

4

Named author with credentials

A real person with a role, relevant experience and a bio page, marked up with Person schema. Anonymous pages carry less weight.

5

FAQ block with schema

Short questions and answers in the buyer's own words, with FAQPage markup that matches the visible text exactly.

6

Sources and citations list

Links to the studies, standards and documentation the page relies on. Pages that cite their sources are easier to verify and to quote.

The fix

Generative engine optimization, built around being the source.

Every retainer is built around the verticals it serves. Below is the work — and we'll tell you on the audit call which of these actually move the needle for your situation.

  • A tracked set of the real questions your buyers ask, run every month through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews
  • Answer-first rewrites of your key pages: the question as a heading, a direct answer in the first 50 words, detail after
  • Original data pages built from what only you know, such as pricing benchmarks, survey results or usage figures, with sources shown
  • Entity cleanup: the same name, description, services and leadership details across your site, profiles and directories
  • Organization, Person, Product and FAQ schema that matches what each page visibly says
  • Crawler access checked at every layer: robots.txt, firewall and CDN rules, and server-side rendering for key content

The questions we map for your business.

We don't know your business yet, so there is no keyword list to show here. Once we do, we build your prompt list from your sales calls, support tickets and search data. These are the six kinds of question it always covers; the highlighted parts are where your details go.

  1. 01Category

What is the best your category for your type of customer?

We check whether you are named, and where you sit in the list.

  2. 02Comparison

Your brand or main competitor: which is better for use case?

We check whether the comparison is accurate, and which pages it quotes.

  3. 03Problem

How do I problem you solve without the usual pain?

We check whether the answer describes your approach or a competitor's.

  4. 04Cost

How much does your service cost for a size of business?

We check whether a price or range is quoted, and whether it is current.

  5. 05Shortlist

Who are the most trusted providers in your city or market?

We check which directories, reviews and lists the answer draws on.

  6. 06Brand

Is your brand any good? What do customers say?

We check which reviews and articles it cites, and whether they are fair.

Each prompt runs every month in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. The report shows whether you are named, in what position, and which sources the answer cites.

Why us, for this vertical

What we bring that the generic agency down the street doesn't.

AI search is new enough that the label gets attached to almost anything. These are the four things we hold our own work to.

Citations measured, not guessed

Each month we run the same set of buyer questions through the main AI tools and record who gets named and which pages are cited. You see the change over time, not a screenshot picked to look good.

Fixes made in the code

Our team builds Drupal, WordPress and Shopify sites, so crawler access, rendering and schema get fixed in the code rather than listed in a report for someone else to handle.

Original data, done properly

We help you turn what only you know into data pages other sites want to cite. We do it for ourselves too: we published a study of start-to-launch timelines from 29 real Drupal migration projects.

Straight answers about the odds

Nobody controls what an AI tool says. We tell you which questions you can realistically win, which belong to bigger brands for now, and where your budget does more in ordinary search.

Ask us anything

What is AI search optimization?

AI search optimization is the work of making your company the source that AI tools quote and name when they answer a buyer's question. It covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews. You will also see it called generative engine optimization (GEO), answer engine optimization (AEO) or LLM SEO. The names differ; the work is the same: clear answers, consistent facts about you, original data and mentions on other trusted sites.

Is generative engine optimization different from SEO?

Less than the name suggests. When ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews search the web to answer, they tend to draw on pages that already rank and that other sites trust, so ordinary SEO is the foundation. What changes is the emphasis: answers written to be quoted, facts about your company kept consistent everywhere, original data, and tracking mentions and citations alongside rankings and clicks.

What does the work include?

It starts with an audit of how AI tools answer your buyers' questions today, a crawler and schema check, and a review of how your site and profiles describe you. Then the ongoing work: answer-first rewrites of key pages, original data pages, author and FAQ markup, outreach for mentions on sites AI tools already cite, and a monthly report on citations, mentions and AI referral traffic.

How much does AI search optimization cost?

It depends on how many pages need rewriting, whether you already have data worth publishing or need to gather it, how much technical work the site needs, and how many questions and markets we track. The free audit shows what AI tools say about you today and ends with a fixed quote for the work, so you know the cost before you commit.

How long before AI tools start citing us?

It depends on where the answer comes from. When a tool searches the web, fixes such as unblocking crawlers can show up once it fetches your pages again, and rewritten pages follow as they are reindexed, usually over months rather than weeks. Answers drawn from a model's training data change only when it is retrained. We track the same questions monthly, so you see the change as it happens.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend us?

No, and nobody honestly can. AI answers vary by prompt, by user and from one day to the next, and no agency controls them. What we can do is raise the odds: make your pages easy to quote, make the facts about you consistent, and earn mentions on sites the tools trust. Then we measure how often you are named, across the same questions, every month.

How do I choose a GEO or AEO agency?

Ask three things. Which questions will they track, and will you see the raw answers rather than a summary score? What exactly will change on your site and in your profiles? And how will they connect AI visibility to leads, for example through AI referral traffic in GA4? Be careful with anyone who promises placement in ChatGPT or whose plan rests on a single file or plugin.

Who owns the content and data you create?

You do. Rewritten pages, data pages, schema and author profiles live on your site and stay there if we part ways. The question list, the monthly answer logs and the report data are yours too, delivered as files you can keep using. We never publish your original data anywhere without your sign-off.
